Word of Life Youth Ministries in Central Florida is devoted to bringing together local church groups and taking them to spread the word of God in churches around the world. Every quarter, the organization adopts a missionary project to support. The Women's Missionary Union (WMU) of Florida Baptist churches sponsors a variety of compassionate ministries, such as Christian Job Corps, WorldCrafts, Project HELP, Baptist Nursing Fellowship and Pure Water, Pure Love. The Florida Baptist Convention is responsible for distributing financial contributions from churches to the North American Mission Board, Send Relief, the International Mission Board and other Southern Baptist mission organizations.
The purpose of all Baptist churches in Florida is to share the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that brings eternal life. Donations are also used to make a daily impact in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and even to the ends of the earth. Andy Anderson, a minister at Word of Life Youth Ministries and regional coordinator for Florida, works with the Florida Baptist Convention, Biblical Woman, Baptist Press, The Devotional for Women and Daily Devotional Bible for Women. In 1888, 32 devoted women founded the National Union of Missionary Women with the goal of raising funds for the Foreign Mission Board (International Mission Board) and National Mission Board (North American Mission Board).
Additionally, they sought to promote the missionary spirit at the Southern Baptist Convention. The group also supports the Florida Children's Home which provides services to children in need across the state. Baptist associations in Valrico, Florida are actively involved in missions work. They provide financial support to mission organizations such as North American Mission Board, Send Relief, International Mission Board and other Southern Baptist mission organizations.
